Friday Morning at the
"Farmer's Market" in Jaco, Costa Rica
"Feria del Agricultor"
When you live in a private and very secluded gated community that overlooks the Central Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica, you will find yourself driving twenty minutes every Friday morning to buy the freshest and most reasonably priced produce in the Western Hemisphere. Living at Las Vistas certainly has its own perks, but eating fresh fruits and vegetables without getting ripped off at the cashiers' counter has health benefits that complement Costa Rica's already growing medical tourism industry. It explains why people who have researched the world situation want to work or retire in Costa Rica. It also is another reason to give praise to the Lord.
Friday 7 May 2010 -- A Fresh Start For Costa Rica, a Day to Remember, and a Prayer
"The photos above were taken on Friday 7 May 2010, the last full day of the Oscar Arias four-year presidency. Upon leaving office, Oscar Arias is recognized by Costa Ricans as its most popular and successful president in this proWestern democratic country's history. The photos of the fresh fruits and vegetables available in this Jaco "Farmer's Market" are symbolic of the fresh start and legacy that President Oscar Arias has given the Costa Rican people; he is succeeded by Laura Chinchilla, the first woman president in Costa Rica's history.

We thank President Oscar Arias for his service to Costa Rica and Mankind. Costa Ricans look forward to the next four years under the leadership of President Laura Chinchilla. We pray that the Lord will continue to guide and bless Costa Rica, its people, and its leadership."
